# AI Address Validation
## Review delivery addresses with AI
### Using **AI Address Validation**, you can identify potential issues early—helping reduce delivery delays, failed shipments, and avoidable address corrections.
### What’s new
AI Address Validation reviews an address and highlights details that may need attention, such as:
- Missing or incomplete address information
- Possible formatting inconsistencies
- Unclear unit, building, district, state, or postal-code details
- Potential mismatches between address components
- Information that may affect carrier acceptance or delivery accuracy
### Why it matters
Address errors can create manual work and increase the risk of returned, delayed, or undeliverable parcels. AI Address Validation gives you an extra review step before fulfilment, so your team can make corrections earlier in the workflow.
### How it works
#### For manually created orders
When creating or editing an order, use **Ask AI for Address Accuracy** to check the recipient address before you purchase a label or submit the order to the warehouse.
Review the suggested corrections, update the address if needed, and continue once you are confident the delivery details are correct.
1. Enter or select the delivery address in your shipment or order.
2. Choose **Ask AI for Address Accuracy**.
3. Review the AI’s suggestions and flagged details.
#### For orders processed by automation rules
You can also add AI Address Validation to an automation rule. When an incoming order meets your rule conditions, Spaceship automatically checks the delivery address as part of the workflow.
If the address requires attention, the order can be flagged for review before it continues to label purchase or warehouse fulfilment. This helps your team catch address issues without reviewing every order manually.

### Understand your address check result
After an address check, you will see one of the following statuses. Use the guidance below to decide what to do next.
| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Valid** | The address passed the check and appears to be complete. |
| **Warning** | Some address details may be incomplete, unclear, or formatted differently from the address database. |
| **Review** | The address was found, but there may be a delivery risk—for example, an unclear building, unit number, postal code, or location detail. |
| **Invalid** | We could not match the address to the available address database. |
| **Unverified** | The address has not been checked yet. |
### Check multiple orders
In **Drafts** or **Unfulfilled Orders**, select several rows and run address validation together. Review the result for each order.
### Important note
AI Address Validation provides recommendations to support your review process. Always verify the final delivery address against your customer’s confirmed details—particularly for high-value, time-sensitive, or cross-border shipments.
