How to Avoid Shipping Charge Corrections
- Accurate shipment details are essential when creating a shipment. The Shipping Charge Correction is assessed based on what is known as the Billable Weight.
- To calculate the Billable Weight, you need to compare the actual weight of the package with its dimensional weight. The higher of the two values will be considered the Billable Weight and should be used to determine the shipping rate. For shipments containing multiple packages, sum the Billable Weight of all individual packages.
- The actual weight is defined as the weight of the package rounded up to the nearest half kilogram.
- To ensure precision, use a scale to measure the package's weight and round any fractional weight to the next half kilogram.
