UPS to Introduce Surge Fee for Asia Pacific Shipments
In response to the expected rise in shipping demand, UPS will introduce a Surge Fee for all shipments originating from the Asia Pacific region to destinations worldwide, effective September 15, 2024. This fee will be subject to the Fuel Surcharge and will be calculated based on the billable weight of each shipment.
💡The surcharges will apply to shipments picked up by UPS on or after September 15, 2024. If your shipment is created prior to this period but is dispatched to UPS on or after September 15, 2024, the surge fee will still be applicable.
Please note that the amounts for these charges and their application dates may be subject to change throughout the demand period, which is determined by UPS.
