Size and Weight Surcharge
Oversize Charge
HKD 625.20 per shipment. This surcharge applies to a shipment containing packages that exceed 243 centimeters in length, or 330 centimeters in length and girth.
* Length is the longest side of a package.
Additional Handling Surcharge - Dimension
HKD 233.7 per shipment for International Priority and International Economy . This surcharge applies to any package that measures greater than 121cm along its longest side; measures greater than 76cm along its second-longest side; or measures greater than 266 centimeters in length and girth. If the Oversize Charge is applied to a shipment, the Additional Handling Surcharge - Dimension will not apply
Additional Handling Surcharge - Weight
HKD 233.7 per shipment for International Priority and International Economy . This surcharge applies to any package that measures greater than 31kg in actual weight.
Additional Handling Surcharge - Packaging
HKD 233.7 per shipment for International Priority and International Economy . This surcharge applies to any package that meets any of the following criteria:
- is not fully encased in an outer shipping container
- is encased in an outer shipping container not made of corrugated fiberboard (cardboard) materials, including but not limited to metal, wood, canvas, leather, hard plastic, soft plastic, or expanded polystyrene foam (e.g., Styrofoam)
- is encased in an outer shipping container covered in shrink wrap or stretch wrap
- is round or cylindrical, including (without limitation) mailing tubes, cans, buckets, barrels, tires, drums, or pails
- is bound with metal, plastic, or cloth banding, or has wheels, casters, handles, or straps (e.g., a bicycle) (including packages where the outer surface area is loosely wrapped, or where the contents protrude outside the surface area)
- could become entangled in or cause damage to other packages or the FedEx sortation system
FedEx reserves the right to assess additional handling charges for packages that require special handling or that require FedEx to apply additional packaging during transit If a shipment meets criteria for 2 or all 3 Additional handling surcharges (Dimension, Weight and Packaging), only 1 with the highest charge applies.
Additional Handling Surcharge - Freight
HKD 1,556.00 per shipment for IPF & IEF. This surcharge applies to any freight handling unit that measures greater than 157cm along its longest side.
Non-Stackable Surcharge
HKD 2,000.00 per shipment for International Priority Freight & International Economy Freight
Customs Clearance Fee
Duty and Tax
If duties and taxes are levied on a shipment and FedEx pays them on behalf of the party responsible for payment, then that party must reimburse FedEx for the duties and taxes themselves, plus the FedEx surcharges below.
Disbursement Fee or Duty and Tax Advancement Fee
FedEx may disburse any applicable duties, taxes and other regulatory charges on your behalf, to ensure timely payment to the customs agency. The duty and tax payer is responsible for the total amount disbursed, plus an additional fee subject to the FedEx invoice. This fee varies for different import countries, typically at 2-3% of the duty and tax advanced with a minimum at USD12-USD15 for each shipment. For details, please check on this link.
Ancillary Clearance Service Fees
FedEx may assess a service fee to obtain the release of your shipment from any regulatory agency or for special services you may request. We may charge a fee for standard customs clearance service in some countries/territories or in some FedEx subsidiaries. We will apply and bill these service fees to the customer.
Ancillary clearance service fees that are incurred will be listed on your duty and tax invoice. Please refer to this link to view the services offered in the destination country/territory where FedEx provides various clearance services.
Other
Prohibited Item Fee
Shipments that are tendered to FedEx in contravention of or not in compliance with applicable laws and regulations or FedEx’s terms and conditions of service or contractual service (including, but not limited to, prohibited shipments or shipments that FedEx does not accept or regularly provide service for without an exception, e.g. dangerous goods and hazardous materials) are subject to a fee of HK$1,500 per package. This fee is without prejudice and in addition to the shipper’s responsibility for all other sums that FedEx may incur and claims against FedEx resulting from the contravention or non-compliance.
** The surcharge listed here is not provided in your estimated shipping quotation, if not specified. Spaceship will adjust the shipping fee base on the final invoice of FedEx.
