About the HK Post E-Express
Effective from March 1, 2023, the European Union (EU), Switzerland and Norway have implemented a new security and safety programme requiring all inbound and transit air mails containing goods to undergo preliminary pre-departure customs assessment at the origin of posting. Please submit accurate electronic customs declaration for the customs assessment.

It may take 7 to 14 working days (Not included local transit time) for mail items to reach recipients for most destination cities which are subject to situation of flight availability, customs clearance, aviation security check, uncontrollable circumstances, such as disaster, political risk, strike, war or epidemic, etc as well as the territory coverage. For destinations in extensive territory, it may take more delivery time. Mail items will be given priority over ordinary letters/packets upon arrival at the destinations. Sundays and public holidays are excluded for the purpose of determining the date of posting or arrival in Hong Kong for all mail items and for performance measurement under the performance pledges. |

The Compensation Clause on e-Express Service
Due to airlines' substantial reduction in flight frequencies arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, overseas postal administrations also notify Hongkong Post that normal estimated delivery time cannot be guaranteed as severe delays are expected in processing inbound mail. As such, e-Express items posted on or after 9 March 2020 would not be considered as a total loss even if the delivery status* is not yet displayed on the websites within two months from the date of posting, taking into account the above special circumstances.
