(1) What is "Middle-east Countries"?
The countries typically referred to in the Middle East include Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Lebanon, Qatar, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.
(2) What is Importer Identity Verification?
According to customs regulations in Middle Eastern countries, the importers (individual and company ones) must complete identity verification before the customs clearance. The importers are required to submit identification documents to local customs to confirm their identity and ensure that the import process is safe and legal.
⚠️Note:
Aramex will arrange for collection and export only after the importer (receiver) uploads their identification documents or tax identification number. In contrast, other courier companies, such as FedEx and UPS, will notify the importer (receiver) to upload the required information only after the goods arrive in the destination country.

- Fail to submit the receiver’s personal ID number, residence permit number, Tax ID number, Customs Importer Verification No or any other required identification forms will result in delays in clearance and delivery
- Although the importer is required to submit identity certificates, it doesn't mean all of the parcels can be cleared by this method. For the restricted shipments regulated by destination customs policy, the importer must submit the import permits on top of identity certificates for clearance. Shipment will not be released until customs approved. Also, prohibited items are unable to import no matter if importer submit identity certificates or not.
